I’ve purchased two of the Knotless 1 inch hole extra small hay nets for my PPID/IR pony. She is active and competes in Combined Driving Events. She has limited pasture time in the early morning so, these hay nets are used to simulate extended grazing time while in her stall. The nets are made to be very sturdy and hold one flake of hay. It takes her 3-4 hours to eat her morning and evening hay. I am very happy with the quality of these nets and the options available for hole size and hay net size. It was difficult to find a suitable hay net for my pony until I found Gutzbusta. Great product!
This product is very tough and large enough to fit a large 3 string hay bails.
It takes some getting used to butting the bail into the net. Better if you can hang it up. Im getting a clip to close the strings rather than tie it up. Overall very satisfied.
Just purchased our 6th medium size knotless nets, we also have 2 small and 2 hay bags ~ highly recommend all. They are fantastic value for money and easy to fill. These hay nets are a game changer and the best we have tried yet. Happy horses, happy horse mum!
I have a small track system in the Midwest and do not have the equipment needed for round bales. Gathering, filling, and replacing hay nets was way too cumbersome. The hay stay nets were the perfect solution! I rotate the horses feeding stations every week and have 3 to 4 hay stays in multiple locations. Each one holds two full square bales that I can easily load off the back of my side-by-side into the net without heavy lifting. This allows me to only put hay out every other day, which is a huge time saver! It’s only been about a month and a half but they are holding up well to some of my more aggressive eaters.
I’ve struggled for a while with the cheap older style hay nets. Cowboy got his lower jaw hooked in the older style ones and I had to do something about it. I’d seen the gutzbusta nets and thought no way will they be strong enough. How wrong was I! I’ve tested 2 hanging different size hole nets with our Clydesdale and they’ve stood the test. I have purchased the small square bale net too but haven’t used it yet. When I do I’ll send some pics. For now here’s Cowboy chowing down on his hay. And I’m happy to say there’s no getting haws caught on your nets
